The Calf of Man's seal population appears to be in good health.
That's the initial indication from the first survey of its kind to be carried out into numbers on the sanctuary.
The work was undertaken earlier this year by marine officer for the Manx Wildlife Trust Eleanor Stone.
She says it was disappointing not to see any common seals breeding, but numbers of grey seals were promising.
However, a true picture won't be formed until she does follow up work and more surveys in subsequent years:
