Minister's pledge to construction industry

The Isle of Man Government will maintain a financial commitment to building and maintenance projects.

That pledge, from Trade and Industry Minister David Cretney, is aimed at easing concerns of those in the local construction industry.

The sector accounts for around 15 per cent of the Island's gross national product and employs about 6,000 people, and Mr Cretney says its importance is obvious:
