The Manx Government's senior scientist says the Isle of Man is keeping a watching brief on possible expansion at Sellafield.
Ten proposed sites for new reactors are being considered by the UK Government, including three in Cumbria, which is adding to long held concerns over nuclear waste in the Irish Sea.
The Island has long opposed reprocessing at Sellafield and Dr Paul McKenna says he understands people's concerns:
