Music fans left to wait

by isleofman.com 25th November 2009

It was a case of 'keep watching this space' when Isle of Man Bay Festival promoter Jonathan Irving appeared on Manx Radio this morning (Wednesday), to reveal the line-up for the middle day of the three day event next June.

He named The Feeling as one of five support acts, along with the already confirmed Scottish DJ and dance music artist Calvin Harris but said, for contractual reasons, the headliners couldn't be revealed until tomorrow.

Mr Irving said agreement had been reached but he had to put pen to paper before an announcement could be made.

The Feeling is a Brit Award nominated indie pop band from the south of England, whose best known songs include 'I love it when you call', 'I thought it was over' and 'sewn'.

Mr Irving is delighted to have them on board, after trying to get them for the Peel Bay Festival in 2007.

Other acts confirmed for 'Sizzling Saturday' are the chart topping Irish indie rock band The Coronas, the dance group Diversity and the winners of a Battle of the Bands competition, to be held in the Isle of Man in January and February.

Visit manxradio.com and follow the link to the Isle of Man Bay Festival website for tickets.

If you pre-register before this Sunday night, you can make priority bookings from next Tuesday, December 1.

Tickets for 'Sizzling Saturday' go on general sale the following day.
