A 38-year-old man charged with murder has appeared before Deemster Doyle at a Court of General Gaol.

Simon Paul Leece, of Fairfield Terrace in Douglas, pleaded not guilty to the murder of Terence Losh on March 22, in the Isle of Man.

The defendant also pleaded not guilty to arson with intent to endanger life on the same date, by destroying a multi-occupancy dwelling in Demesne Road, uglas.

Six other offences of arson with intent to endanger life, or being reckless as to whether life would be endangered, were also denied by the defendant.

Deemster Doyle remanded Leece in custody until January 15 next year when a trial date will be fixed.
