A number of issues relating directly, and indirectly to the redrawing of the VAT revenue sharing agreement are being raised during question time in the House of Keys today.

Top of that list is a query from Bill Henderson, who is wondering whether a link will be made between savings in government departments and the pay, particularly in the performance-related category, of senior staff.

Among 17 other questions, Peter Karran is suggesting government revenues could be boosted by bringing in a tax on increases in property values, for non-resident owners.

And John Houghton is calling for the criminalisation of the drug Mephedrone, also known as 'Plant Food'.

He says people are suffering as a result of the substance being freely available, including the son of two of his constituents.
