It's great to be back!

by isleofman.com 23rd November 2009

Manx Radio's popular Late Show presenter Bernie Quayle received a warm welcome back, when he returned to his regular 10pm slot after an absence of four months, due to illness and subsequent treatment.

As he started his first link at the end of a highly appropriate opening record, four of the six colleagues who have kept his seat warm since July burst into the studio, with Bucks Fizz, chocolate cake and party poppers!

The 'studio invasion' was led by programme controller Marc Tyley, and the 'invaders' were labelled first, second, third and fourth reserves! (play extended audio file):

Bernie's wife Lindsay, who was in on 'the secret', was also in the studio and took part in the celebrations.
