BBC provides a good service - Earnshaw

The chairman of the Isle of Man's Communication Commission has cautiously welcomed the review which is to be carried out of the Island's commitment to the BBC licence fee.

On Talking Heads today, Adrian Earnshaw, MHK, also said he felt people in the Island received a good service for the money they paid.

Last week Malew and Santon MHK Graham Cregeen won backing for his call for a Tynwald Select Committee to look into the viability of the Island withdrawing from the present arrangement.

It's also charged with deciding if the licence fee represents value for money, but Mr Earnshaw wondered whether it was worth rocking the boat:
