Curry lovers should clear their diaries for the night of Saturday 28th November, when an Indian banquet will take centre stage at Peel's Masonic Hall.
The three-course meal is part of a special fundraising evening in aid of the Island's Hyperbaric Chamber. The event has been organised by TT and Manx Grand Prix champion Chris McGahan, who will be swapping his helmet for a chef's hat for the evening.
As a passionate foodie, it won't be Chris' first foray into the kitchen: away from the Mountain Circuit, he is well known for creating speciality barbeques and feasts of world cuisine for his friends.
On Saturday night, the feast will be super-sized - and all for a good cause. The menu will cater for all tastes and include delicious vegetarian options.
After the meal, there will be live music from The Ballaghs, a popular local folk-rock group who mix their own compositions with foot-stomping tunes from the Pogues, Levellers and others. The Masonic hall has a fine dancefloor, so anyone who fancies working off their food with a spirited jig will be able to do so!
There will also be a raffle on the night - if you would like to help out by donating a prize, contact Chris on the number given below.
Tickets for the evening are priced at ?20, all-inclusive. Interest in the evening is already strong and places are limited to 100 people, so grab your ticket now to avoid disappointment: simply give Chris a call on (07624) 347775.
