Economist ponders Island's options

The Isle of Man needs to look after its own interests, and do so more wisely than ever before.

That was a view expressed by economist and former member of the House of Keys Charles Cain, on Manx Radio's Sunday Opinion.

At the end of a week in which Lord Bach, the man responsible for the Island at the United Kingdom's Ministry of Justice, praised its developing maturity, Mr Cain said the message from London was clear.

He said the Isle of Man now had to fight its own corner:
