IOM Post helps Blue Peter Appeal

by isleofman.com 21st November 2009

Isle of Man Post Office is looking for you to get involved in Blue Peter’s latest appeal - Operation Smile.

Children across Britain are being encouraged to make unwanted t-shirts into decorative operation gowns for children with cleft palates in India.

Once the artwork is complete, they can be dropped off at sorting offices and post offices Island-wide.

Anyone who wishes to take part should make sure their t-shirt is placed in a sealed plastic bag and clearly labelled ‘Blue Peter Appeal (Smile)’ before handing it in any post office.

Operation Smile was founded in 1982 and was launched with its first project to the Philippines in 1982 and currently supports international and local in-country medical projects to 25 countries.
