JP is first winner of 'inspiration' award

A Pulrose teenager who is described as an 'extraordinary individual' has had his achievements recognised.

Seventeen-year-old John Paul Glover is the first recipient of the Manx Inspirational Youth Award, for his work at his local youth club.

The award has been devised by the Douglas Neighbourhood Policing Team to acknowledge youngsters who have helped to significantly improve their communities.

Sergeant Ged Power, who presented JP with the trophy, says it wasn't an average awards ceremony:
