Guide dog awareness day

by isleofman.com 19th November 2009

There's a chance to find out more about guide dogs in Ramsey today.

An awareness day is being held at the Mitre Hotel, at which experts will be available to answer questions and give demonstrations.

The event is being staged by the 'Guide Dogs for the Blind' organisation, which is based in the United Kingdom but has eight full-time working dogs in the Isle of Man.

Spokesperson Charli Collins says having a trained dog can really transform a person's life (play audio file):

The awareness day is from 10am to 2pm.
