The women's state pension age in the Isle of Man is to gradually increase from the current 60 years to 65.
The change will come in between next year and 2020, in line with United Kingdom legislation.
The DHSS say as the Island's state pension arrangements are linked with those of the UK, through the social security reciprocal agreement, the change has been applied here as well.
Women born between April 6, 1950 and April 5, 1955 will now have a state pension age of between 60 and 65 years, determined by their date of birth.
The DHSS says all women affected by the change have been contacted and provided with an information leaflet showing the earliest date from which they may be entitled to a state pension.
Women born on or after April 6, 1955 will now have the same state pension age as men.
