A special reception at the House of Keys has marked the release of a biography of one of the giants of Manx politics.
AW Moore presided over the Keys as Speaker for a number of years, and had many interests and achievements outside politics as well.
Also being commemorated was the 100th anniversary of his death, at the age of 56, in November 1909.
In attendance, along with Manx parliamentarians and former Speakers of the House of Keys, was Moore's great-grandson William Moore, who said he was proud to see such recognition being given:
