Voters in Kirk Michael have been electing a new member onto the board of the local commissioners.

Two candidates are contesting the seat vacated by the resignation of Sarah-Jane Bassett in October.

David Goldsmith and Peter Hayes are both retired professionals.

The polling station at the commissioners' office is open until 8pm.
