Discussions have been opened on two fronts, with a view to re-establishing some sort of Reciprocal Health Agreement.
The devolved Scottish parliament has been talking about the possibility of an arrangement with the Island, although it's not clear at this stage whether it has the necessary authority.
DHSS Minister Eddie Teare has also opened talks with the United Kingdom's shadow health minister, with a view to looking at options, should the Conservatives win a general election next spring.

Mr Teare is currently awaiting clarification from Westminister on whether Scotland, Northern Ireland and Wales could have their own Reciprocal Health Agreements with the Isle of Man.
