Manx Radio nominated for Academy award

by isleofman.com 17th November 2009

Manx Radio has been shortlisted for an award by the Radio Academy.

The Island's national broadcaster has been nominated for the academy's Nations and Regions North West Branch gong.

The competition is for stations which broadcast to less than 300,000 listeners and sees Manx Radio up against Tameside Radio from Ashton-under-Lyne in Greater Manchester.

Manx Radio's controller of programming and content, Marc Tyley, says being nominated for something like this is a huge boost for the station.
