The refurbishment of properties at Clagh Vane in Ballasalla will lead to a significant improvement for residents.
That's the belief of Local Government Minister John Shimmin, who this week will ask Tynwald to support the next stage of support for the project.
Mr Shimmin recognises that residents and groups such as the Ballasalla and District Residents' Association may not agree with every detail of proposed development in the area.
However, he hopes they will work with the department to everybody's benefit:
