Douglas lose at Sefton

by isleofman.com 17th November 2009

Douglas’ run of league defeats continued as they went down 24-9 away at Sefton in South Lancashire/Cheshire Division Two.

Douglas trailed 14-3 at half-time with Bryn Snellgrove’s penalty being the only bright point in a poor first half.

The Manx side got their act together in the second half and two further Snellgrove penalties saw them trailing 17-9 with 10 minutes to go.

A last minute try for Sefton made the scoreboard look slightly more flattering than the game suggested.
