Cooish '09 Inter-Gaelic Concert

by isleofman.com 13th November 2009

There's a chance to hear some top class Gaelic musicians from Scotland and Ireland this evening, at one of the highlights of Cooish Week 2009.

The Inter-Gaelic Concert, which also features performances from local instrumentalists and singers, is being staged at the Centenary Centre in Peel.

The Cooish is an annual celebration of the Manx language, but music also plays an important part.

Manx music development officer for the Manx Heritage Foundation Breesha Maddrell says the two are closely linked (play audio file):

The concert is at 8pm.
