Descendants of those who lost their lives in the Ellan Vannin tragedy are being invited to attend a special memorial service.
A ceremony is taking place aboard a Mersey Ferries vessel on December 3, to mark the centenary of the loss of the Steam Packet vessel.
She foundered in the mouth of the River Mersey after being hit by a massive wave.
The service will see a red rose cast into the water for each of the 35 passengers and crew who perished.
Chief Minister Tony Brown will be attending and the song which immortalised the tragedy will be sung by its writer, Hughie Jones from the folk group the Spinners.
Administrator of the Manx Heritage Foundation Charles Guard has been instrumental in organising the Ellan Vannin memorial project.
