Arrane son Mannin held in Peel

The annual Manx Gaelic song competition has been won by the group Cabbyl Ushtey.

The quartet - consisting of Liam Gillman, Katie Lawrence, Andy North and Gerry Quinn - will now represent the Isle of Man at next year's Pan Celtic Festival in Southern Ireland.

The competition, one of the highlights of the annual Cooish, was held at Peel Masonic Hall last night.

The winning song - 'Roihaghyn ny Marra' or 'Arms of the Sea' - was written by Andy North:
