Anne Frank Relative to Give Tolerance Talk

by isleofman.com 11th November 2009

Eva Schloss, posthumous step-sister of Anne Frank, will be the guest speaker at a black-tie fund-raising dinner organised by the Anne Frank [+you} Exhibition committee at the Mount Murray Hotel in January 2010.

As a teenager, Eva (pictured) was sent to Auschwitz-Birkenau concentration camp.  She survived her experiences but did not speak of them publicly until several decades had passed.

Now in her eighties, Eva devotes her life to educating people around the world about the importance of tolerance and respect for difference.

The dinner will take place on Saturday 30th January, 2010.  For details about how to book, email Carol Jempson at capajem(a)manx.net or phone Cath Quirk on 840242 or 485654.

The Anne Frank [+ you] Exhibition is set to visit the Isle of Man in March 2010, when it will be on display to the public in St German's Cathedral, Peel.  For more information, click here.
