Hope remains for Boyzone fans

There is still a chance Boyzone might appear at next year's Isle of Man Bay Festival.

A deal for the Irish boy band to perform was finalised last month, but the sudden and unexpected death of group member Stephen Gately the next day made it unlikely the concert would go ahead.

The group asked promoter Jonathan Irving to keep the date open for several months while they came to terms with their loss and decided whether they wanted to continue performing.

To date, no announcement has been made on the future of the group, but Mr Irving says negotiations are continuing:
