New road's link with old church

Douglas Borough Council is attempting to resolve the confusion which surrounds an apartment building with three different postal addresses, by introducing a fourth one!

The property, known as Harris View, is in the narrow road which runs between Finch Road and Kingswood Grove, along the side of Mona Terrace.

The new name is St Barnabas Hill, in recognition of a link with a church which stood between Lord Street and Victoria Street, until its demolition in 1967.

Works Committee chairman Ritchie McNicholl says it's a very appropriate choice:
