'Hit and run' on Watterson Lane

by isleofman.com 9th November 2009

Police are hunting the driver of a maroon coloured car who crashed into a bank in Douglas and drove off without reporting the incident.

It happened at 3.15pm yesterday (Sunday) on Watterson Lane, opposite the Elder Grange nursing home.

The car mounted the banking, causing considerable damage.

Officers say the vehicle will have heavy damage to the front passenger side and will be missing sections of its bumper.

They are appealing for the driver to come forward and anyone who can help the investigation is asked to ring Police Headquarters on 631212.
