More time to submit views on marina

by isleofman.com 9th November 2009

Members of the public are being given a little longer to have their say on the proposed Ramsey marina scheme.

The Department of Transport has extended the consultation period until Christmas Eve.

Technical difficulties delayed the online publication of a number of reports, namely the Sulby flood risk impact assessment, the transport assessment, the option assessment and an economic study.

And officials want members of the public to have access to those documents before they submit their comments.

The reports can now be viewed gov.im/transport/harbours

Any decision on whether or how to progress such a scheme in Ramsey Harbour will not be made until early 2010.

Nearly 1,000 people attended three consultation days at Ramsey Town Hall recently.
