Efforts to introduce safety measures on the New Castletown Road are continuing after a fatal accident last week.
The death of 38-year-old Santon woman Dru Hamm near Mount Murray has re-opened the debate on the potential dangers to pedestrians, particularly children, on one of the fastest stretches of road in the Island.
Braddan commissioner Kate Beecoft has been discussing ideas with transport officials for some time, and says a number of suggestions have been considered.
They include a footbridge, re-routing buses nearer the Mount Murray Hotel and installing a pedestrian crossing:
