Public heeds firework safety message

The Isle of Man proved to be a very safe place to celebrate bonfire night this year.

The effort put in to ensuring the safety message was heard in the run up to Bonfire Night paid off, with a record low number of incidents reported to the Fire and Rescue Service.

However, with the weekend still to go, fire officers are asking people not to get carried away.

Station officer Tony Varley says it was a very quiet night in Douglas:
