Smash UK boyband JLS will take to the stage of the Manx Telecom Bay Festival on Friday 18th June 2010.
The band, who recently performed on The X-Factor, have just claimed the No. 1 spot in the downloads chart this week with their new single 'Everybody in Love', far outselling Cheryl Cole's 'Fight for this Love'.
Pre-sales of their debut album, simply titled ‘JLS’, have already topped over 200,000. and pundits expect it to sell 1 million copies in the run-up to Christmas.
Earlier this year, JLS took home a BRIT award (Best British Single) and are hotly tipped for greater fame and success in 2010.
"JLS won Best Newcomer award at the 2009 MOBOs and then went on to scoop up the Best Song. We are unbelievably excited to have signed them for the Manx Telecom Bay Festival 2010," says promoter Jonathan Irving.
"They will be performing a full production show complete with backing dancers, a stunning light show, special stage effects and video screens.
"In fact, just like their spell-binding performance on The X factor last Sunday, which they took by storm. We are incredibly pleased to be bringing the JLS phenomena to the Island".
Last weekend, JLS brought Manchester's Trafford Centre to a standstill when they turned on the Christmas lights. The Festival organisers are hoping for a similarly enthusiastic reaction to their appearance at Nobles Park in 2010!
"When dates were announced for JLS’s 2010 UK tour, tickets were sold out in less than twenty four hours, so don’t miss the unmissable. Some of these tickets are now on re-sale sites at considerably more than face value.
"With only 7,000 tickets available for this Manx spectacular, you’ll need to pre-register before midnight on Sunday 8th November".
A number of "very special guests" are said to be lined up to perform on the same night, with details due for release soon.
One-Day Discount for Early Registration
The Manx Telecom Bay Festival is also giving "a very special Christmas gift to all the families and people living on the Isle of Man".
By registering by midnight on Sunday 8th November, people can purchase tickets on Tuesday 10th November, for one day only, with a discount of 10%; this will bring an adult standing ticket down to ?39.15 and a child's to ?29.25 (plus booking fees).
On Wednesday 11th November, these tickets will go on general sale at full price.
Calvin Harris is Ready for the Weekend
In further news, Calvin Harris will be appearing as the main support act on Saturday 19th June.
The acclaimed DJ, musician and producer has built up a strong reputation for his live appearances and will bring star quality to the Festival stage next summer.
Tickets for the night will be released shortly, once the Saturday headline artist is announced. However, general tickets allowing entrance to all four shows are now on sale.
