Kirk Michael would welcome modern sewage plant

Michael commissioners have offered an olive branch to the Department of Transport after it dropped plans to build a sewage treatment plant in Peel.

Transport Minister David Anderson says if Peel doesn’t want the plant at its preferred site, near the Power station, it will look elsewhere to spend the cash.

And last night Michael Commissioners said they would welcome an upgrade to their antiquated treatment facility.

Vice chairman of the commissioners Steve Hamer says it's something which has been on the minds of board members for a while:
