The Bowl - should it be re-developed?

by isleofman.com 3rd November 2009

The debate over the proposed redevelopment of the Bowl rumbles on with councillors split over whether it should go ahead.

Council leader David Christian said cash earmarked for the ?3.3 million scheme could be better spent elsewhere given the tough times faced by local authorities.

But his views have been questioned by Tourism Minister Martyn Quayle and Councillor Stephen Pitts – who both say a new-look stadium would bring its own benefits.

Councillor Pitts says he and many other councillors fully support the redevelopment.
