The makers of hit BBC series 'Who Do You Think You Are?' are calling on people searching for long last relatives to contact them, for a new family history show.
Production company Wall to Wall are now working on 'Find My Family', a new series whose aim is to help people who would love to find a long lost relative, and hopefully re-unite them with the person they are looking for.
This could mean anything from birth parents who gave their child up for adoption decades ago to siblings separated as young children who want to find the brother or sister they have never known but have thought about every day.
A spokesperson for the company says, "We hope to make a series that is not only positive and inspirational but that makes family reunion more accessible and empowers others who are perhaps daunted by the prospect of finding a family member.
"A lot of these people may have been searching for years but have hit a brick wall and given up; others may just not know where to start.
"We would love to be able to offer our expertise to some of these people and help reunite them with their loved ones."
Long-running series 'Who Do You Think You Are?' has proved both a critical and a ratings hit, following such public figures as Stephen Fry, Moira Stuart and Jeremy Paxman on fascinating, and often deeply moving, journies into their past.
