A charity which provides accommodation for young people with learning difficulties has been told to 'unleash its energy and go for it!'
The advice came from the Reverend Cyril Rogers who gave the keynote speech at the annual general meeting of CLINCH.
Reverend Rogers told the meeting that for much of its 15-year history the charity had struggled to make headway, as its energy had been blocked.
He drew on the work of social philosopher Charles Handy to show if everyone worked together they could reinforce each other's strengths, compensate for weaknesses and move forward.
Reverend Rogers says CLINCH has identified a site off Glencrutchery Road in Douglas, where it hope to set up what he sees as a 'community within a community' (play audio file):
CLINCH stands for Care And living In Community Homes.
