A teenager who broke a pair of police handcuffs has been bailed by High Bailiff Michael Moyle for reports.
Nathan Liam Kneale, 18, of Main Road in Kirk Michael, admitted destroying property belonging to the Department of Home Affairs and being drunk and disorderly.
The court heard he was arrested at 6.45pm on September 2, in Chester Street car park.
Officers were called by a member of the public who was concerned aout his behaviour.
When they arrived at the scene, Kneale shouted and swore at them, then ran off and jumped onto a wall on the second storey. Police asked him to get down but he refused and he was arrested and handcuffed.
When Kneale arrived at Police Headquarters he told officers he had broken the cuffs.
Mr Moyle told Kneale it was obvious he needed help and support, and that if he was suitable for probation that was what the sentence would be when he appeared again on November 17.
