Could Manx teams all end up in same division?

by isleofman.com 31st October 2009

Results for the three Manx rugby teams in the South Lancashire and Cheshire League went according to recent form.

In Division One, Vagabonds were beaten by the narrowest of margins, going down 6-5 at home to Wigan, while in Division Two Douglas lost 42-19 away to fellow mid-table side Southport.

Vagas' result left them struggling at the foot of the table, with four points from nine matches.

Intriguingly, with Ramsey continuing their impressive campaign at the top of Division Three, there's a possibility the three Manx side could all be playing in the same division next season.

The northern side had a 56-0 win at home to Helsby, to make it eleven points from six matches.

The second highest scorers of the day in Manx rugby were Vagabonds ladies, who notched up 55 points against Ecceles, without reply.

In the Shimmin Wilson Manx Shield there were wins for Vagabonds B, Douglas B and Southern Nomads.
