by isleofman.com 30th October 2009

Around ?70,000 worth of new hospital equipment has been bought by fundraisers in the north of the Island, so local patients can see specialists at Ramsey Cottage Hospital.

The League of Friends says consultants are increasingly prepared to offer clinics and services at the hospital, if the right facilities are available.

Tomorrow (Saturday) the League is holding a Hop tu Naa fair at Ramsey Town Hall to spread the word about their work, and raise funds to buy more patient equipment.

Chairman Leonard Singer says the whole community benefits (play audio file):

The fair at Ramsey Town Hall is from 12 noon.
