by isleofman.com 30th October 2009

Bacchas player Louise Corkill has become the first Isle of Man player to be selected for the England Hockey under-18 Future Cup.

She is playing in the North of England Pumas team at a tournament at Cannock where the best 72 players in the country are on trial for England squad selection.

Louise had her first match yesterday, which was lost 4-0 against a team which featured eight current England internationals.

It's understood Louise put in a cracking performance - there are more matches today, tomorrow and on Sunday
