Good news for 'green-fingered' Arbory residents

The greenest fingers in Arbory will be presented with prizes this evening, in the 2009 parish gardens competition.

The award ceremony takes place at 7.30pm in Arbory Parish Hall in Ballabeg after gardeners in Ballabeg and Colby were pitted against each other in the summer.

It's the second year the competition has taken place, and chairman of Arbory Parish Commissioners Mike Berry says soon there will be more facilities available for those who love to grow plants.

He says the commissioners are working hard to provide allotments:
