Whorrall set for Beijing

by isleofman.com 29th October 2009

Manx cyclist Chris Whorrall has been selected to represent Great Britain at the World Cup Track meeting in China in January.

The Beijing velodrome used at the last Olympic Games will be the venue.

Whorrall has just been picked for the Great Britain Olympic Academy programme along with fellow Isle of Man rider Tim Kennaugh.

Mark Christian has just completed his first year on the scheme.

Whorrall will be able to witness the possible return of Sir Chris Hoy to the Beijing facility where he won three Olympic gold medals last year.
