Members of the public in the Isle of Man have had their first chance to hear people closely linked to the Kaupthing Singer and Friedlander crash give their side of the story.
Yesterday saw the first public sitting of the Tynwald Select Committee set up to investigate the collapse of the Icelandic banking group's Manx subsidiary, in September 2008.
Chairman of the committee, Juan Watterson, MHK, said he and his colleagues would examine the causes of the crash, the role of the FSC in ensuring good management of KSF Isle of Man and the credibility of the Depositor's Compensation Scheme.
