Pleasure cruiser at centre of email scam

by isleofman.com 29th October 2009

Fraudsters have been offering thousands of people around the world the chance to work on one of the best-known vessels in Manx waters.

But the emails, and an associated website, are simply attempts to get people to give out their personal details to be used by those behind the con.

Captain Steve Carter of the Laxey Towing Company says he was surprised how much work had been put into the scam.
