by isleofman.com 28th October 2009

Roads around Ballawhetstone in the south of the Island reopened at lunchtime, following an accident there this morning.

A car and van collided shortly before 8am and police closed the road until just after 1pm to clear the area and allow investigations to be carried out.

It's understood at least one person was taken to Noble's Hospital, but the extent of any injuries isn't known.

Ballawhetstone is in Ballabeg and is on the Billown circuit.
