Hopes teachers will accept new procedure

Bureaucracy isn't a problem in the Island's schools, according to the education minister.

Anne Craine has been responding to claims from union leaders that parts of the government can be too bureaucratic.

In particular, they said paperwork to do with education could pile up on teachers' desks, giving them less time to actually teach.

Mrs Craine says the criticisms relate to one particular requirement, which has only just been brought in:
