Jools Holland will return to the Isle of Man on 23rd - 24th June 2010 with his Rhythm & Blues Orchestra and all the regular guests on his TV series, including Gilson Lavis, Ruby Turner and Louise Marshall.
The ace pianist, also famous for his influential, long-running music show Later, last played the Island in June 2008, when his two sell-out shows (also at the Villa Marina) went down a storm.
He also played to 3,000 people within the walls of Peel Castle in 2000, during the now-extinct Isle of Music Festival.
Jools Holland is best-known for his 'boogie-woogie' piano style. While still in his teens, he formed Squeeze with Glen Tilbrook and Chris Difford.
He and drummer Gilson Lavis then went on to form the Jools Holland Big Band and Gilson continues to play with him until this day.
The knockout vocals of Ruby Turner have graced the last three best-selling 'Jools Holland and Friends' albums and she is an equally powerful stage presence.
Louise Marshall, meanwhile, is a pianist and singer whose career has so far encompassed several genres, film soundtracks and West End shows.
All together, Jools 'and friends' offer a night of real music played with irrepressible energy and joy.
