by isleofman.com 23rd October 2009

Police called to a domestic incident at Dumbells Terrace, Laxey had to chase a man who fled the scene.

It was feared he had a knife, but he was unarmed when arrested for public order offences and was later helping officers with their enquiries.

Dog handlers and firearms officers were sent to the incident, but were not deployed

Inspector Derek Flint says the matter was very quickly resolved and at no time were any members of the public in danger.

The incident happened on Friday afternoon.
