Changes to Nobles Blood Clinic

by isleofman.com 22nd October 2009

From Monday 2nd November 2009 Isle of Man residents will no longer be able to ‘drop in’ to give blood but will instead need to make an appointment for their blood tests to be undertaken at the Blood Clinic at Noble’s Hospital.

The new appointment system is being introduced because of the greatly increased demand for the hospital phlebotomy service (blood clinic).

It will replace the drop-in service currently available and means that people will no longer have to wait for extended periods, or arrive at the clinic early, to have blood tests done without an appointment.

These changes will also enable an improved service to be provided to the hospital wards and out-patients.

It will reduce the waiting times in the blood clinic, streamline the service and reduce the amount of time some people need to take off work to attend this clinic.

Patients wishing to make an appointment should telephone 650415.

Appointments will be available at the following times:

Monday - Thursday 8.30 – 4.00 pm

Friday 8.30 – 1.00 pm
