Flybe urges Gatwick owners to think regional

A change in ownership of Gatwick airport could impact on prices charged by Flybe, the only airline flying there from the Isle of Man.

The British Airports Authority has been forced to sell-off two of its London airports by the UK Competition Commission.

It ruled that BAA's ownership of key airports in the capital and south of England was not in passengers' interests.

Flybe is urging Gatwick's new owners GIP to focus on regional air traffic.

If that leads to lower charges on the airlines, ticket prices could be reduced in the long term.

But Chief Commercial Officer at Flybe Mike Rutter says, at this stage, nothing has been decided:
