Island must wait for swine flu vaccine

Large-scale immunisation against swine flu has begun in the United Kingdom, but there's still no word on when the Isle of Man will receive its batch of the vaccine.

Yesterday, the UK health service started giving the 'jab' to patients deemed most at risk from the virus and front line health workers.

GPs in the UK will receive deliveries of the vaccine from Monday.

But Director of Public Health Dr Parameswaran Kishore says, unfortunately, it's a case of wait and see as far as the Island's shipment is concerned:
